Speeding Bullets: Origins
The original incarnation of the “Speeding Bullets” podcast began in the summer of 2013. Inspired by the podcasts of his hero Kevin Smith, Richie Lefebvre joined up with man-in-charge Chris Reddie to learn the tools of the podcast trade. Initially they were joined by a fellow named Forks, who quickly decided it wasn’t for him and moved on. Reddie recruited his long-time friend and wacky character Geoff Whyte to round out the cast and a podcast was born. The threesome then asked local event organizer and artist Adam Tupper to sit in on a few episodes, which eventually turned into Tupper being a regular member of the team.
In early 2016, Reddie rebranded the Speeding Bullets podcast under a new name: “The Loudest Geeks in the Room”. With the 147th episode the show officially changed to “The Loudest Geeks Podcast”. It ran under this brand until the fall of 2017, reaching episode 216. At this time, Reddie made the difficult but necessary decision to pursue other projects and handed over the reigns to Richie, who had been producing it mostly on his own by this point. Although sad to lose his original partner, Richie was excited about the future.
Richie enlisted Adam Tupper to revitalize the “Speeding Bullets” title and brand, creating new logos for both the podcast and the new production company “SuperHound Productions”. With episode 217, “Speeding Bullets” was back in action with Geoff and Richie as the main hosts, while guest-star Tupper would stop by whenever a podcast recording coincided with one of his monthly trips to Ottawa. By the Spring of 2020, the podcast had reached episode 312 until a double disaster hit. COVID’s impact in March of 2020 prevented new episodes from being produced, and in June of 2020 the world tragically lost Geoff Whyte. With the death of their friend and cohort, and a global pandemic raging, it seemed as though Speeding Bullets had finally run its course...
However in February of 2023, Richie was determined to resurrect the podcast, not only for his own creative outlet but to honour the memory of their departed friend Geoff. Thus began equipment upgrades, software upgrades, and a brand-new Tupper redesign of the logo. Richie, with Tupper in tow, knew they needed a fresh new voice to include in the podcast itself. Richie turned to Jayme Schuler, a longtime pal and dependable compatriot, to bring her superpowers to this team-up. Finally, on April 14 2023, the all-new and better-than-ever “Speeding Bullets: Reloaded” premiered, shaking the podcast world to its core.
Richie, Tupper, and Jayme are ecstatic to bring their irreverent, thoughtful, occasionally bizarre and often hilarious podcasting powers to anyone who loves geek and pop culture. Prepare yourselves - these podcasters are more powerful than a locomotive!
Richie Lefebvre
Producer, Editor, Host
Originally from the planet Smodtron, Richie Lefebvre arrived on Earth ready to change lives and experience the world fully and completely. It took him decades to recognize and acknowledge he had to do this fully-clothed.
His talents are numerous - expert podcaster, master of ceremonies, a literal genius when it comes to audio manipulation...he also once invented a sound-amplification cannon that devastated the town of Gatineau. Fortunately for him, Gatineau was already in pretty rough shape and no one really noticed.
When he was 12, Richie tried to make a supersuit of armour out of aluminum cans, blank VHS tapes, parts from a ‘Power Wheels’ truck, and moon boots. He stopped three crimes before the suit succumbed to a light mist and fell apart.
Richie’s laugh has been called “infectious” which is much better than when it was called “terminal”.
While Richie is the perfect companion for any adventure, he has been known to make bad situations worse by randomly throwing sand in faces and screaming “Ninja Attack!!!” before running away.
Richie has three children. He is convinced that at least one of them will develop powers and abilities beyond mortal humans. As of this writing, this prediction remains unproven.
His fans range from the nobodies to the high-end celebrity but despite his fame and access to large bowls of only Blue M&Ms, he remains as down-to-earth as ever.
Jayme Schuler
Host, Fact Checker
Jayme is a mystery wrapped in an enigma covered in camouflage hidden between realities under a cloak of invisibility. However the veil can be briefly lifted with a pack of Belmonts and an extra large bag of Malteasers.
Jayme studied the mystic arts under several elders of the universe. This has given Jayme control over most of the elements in the periodic table, except Zinc, which refuses to play ball with her no matter how many lemon tarts she bakes for it.
She is also a practitioner of the sarcastic retort, an ability which has left the confidence of more than one person shattered permanently. She used this to great effect in negotiations with the group of Morlocks delaying the construction of the Ottawa LRT in mid-2017.
Jayme has been fortunate enough to play mentor to dozens of humans in her life, as well as a pack of wolves, three separate ant colonies, and a squirrel she named “Merl”.
She is staunchly loyal, unless you fail to recognize the great power the Broadway play has in our lives, in which case you are DEAD to her. She also once rode in a cab with Jesse L. Martin, which she absolutely will not shut up about.
She has two dogs which she assures us are not thralls of Zuul. The dogs however say otherwise.
Adam Tupper
Host, Raconteur
Adam, also known as “Tupper” or “That chatty asshole” has been an artist for almost 40 years, which sounds impressive until you discover he’s almost 200 years old and has spent the majority of that timespan quote “dicking around”. He’s been known to talk for so long that time itself comes to an inexorably slow crawl.
Adam studied the classics in university, but had great difficulty convincing his professors that the ‘X-Men’ comics written by Chris Claremont in the 1980s deserved to be considered “classics”. He nevertheless maintained a 2.5 GPA for those 18 months, only being kicked out of school for building a “Danger Room” in the Student Union Building out of cafeteria chairs and tables.
He has no special abilities, although he is fully convinced his latent force powers allow him to open automatic doors without the help of any motor.
Adam once trained a group of feral cats to commit actual cat burglaries of various Bulk Barns throughout the GTA, but gave up the practice when the cats were unable to move bags of chocolate-covered pretzels above 5 grams.
Adam considers few to be his intellectual equal, but then again he hasn’t met that many people. He spends most of his time arguing about plot points within the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Qualteronius, a 12th-dimensional being only he can see or hear.

Geoff was the heart and soul of The Loudest Geeks in the Room and Speeding Bullets . When he joined the podcast there was a distinct air of wonder and ridiculousness in the best kind of way . We were lucky to have him even for a fraction of his life . Geoff had love for everyone he met , so much so he’d be late for recordings at his own house because he’d stop to talk to familiar and new faces alike . Speeding Bullets won’t be the same with out you but your presence will always be felt in every recording. May our friend rest in peace .
